I came back!

After a crazy 5 weeks of prac, 1 week in Melbourne and 2 weeks handover of my old job, I have finally thought about blogging again.

Prac was stressful, fun, challenging and enjoyable. I learnt a lot and hopefully the kids learnt a lot too. I miss them already but glad I finished. Weird feeling.

Melbourne was a good break. I didn't take a camera because I was there with Dad and still didn't want to bother about blogging yet. There is one photo that I might share later. I am actually going to give a plug to the place we stayed at because it had an awesome location, was super comfortable and the owner was really easy to deal with.

I also went to Magnolia Square with my friend Sophie. While we there I purchased some Zpaghetti. I could really only fit one cone in my bag as it weighed almost 1kg.

I bought black with the intent of making a round floor rug (similar to this- an idea which must have made its way into my subconscious and then resurfaced when I googled the product). I figured it would be the only colour I might have a chance of purchasing more of online when I ran out. Looks as though I might need two more!

I also visited Patchwork on Central Park. I bought the green animal print, the lion print and the blue with white spots. Argh! That shop has so much lovely fabric.

These fabrics are the choices for a very bright cot quilt I have been commissioned to make for a friend! Cant wait to start- especially as her idea of a good quilt is pretty much the same as mine- freestyle with minimal fabric waste.

We had Brown Owls last Sunday and it gave me a chance to pick up my no-sew crochet rug. I am making slight progress- but this is my slow burn project so no pressure!

My new craft corner in the lounge... you can probably tell I do like green.

And to finish, Ry's project. He fixed the giant hole in our kitchen wall. We had a poster covering it until now- very classy!
