Another weekend down
I had a funny sort of weekend. I know we always say they go too quickly but this one really did, I swear! I think I had high expectations of what I could achieve. I fit lots in but I also didn't manage to get things done that I was hoping to do and now I'm feeling behind with jobs and quilting and I hate starting the week like that.
Positives though:
+ I have peas on my plants!
+ I finished the binding on the quilt below.
Even though it didn't rain today, it was still gloomy and hard to take a decent photo!

Sunday + Brown Owls update
Today I am working on a cheerful quilt for someone I work with. He wants a present for his mum so has commissioned me to make THREE small quilts. I am having fun with this one.
I am also binding this quilt.
Yesterday I bought this cute yellow and grey fabric from Spotlight. I am going to use it NEXT Sunday at Brown Owls.
At the next Brown Owls we are making name badges. We drew names out of a hat at the last meeting and will be making a name badge for someone else in the group in their favourite colours. If you missed the last meeting don't fret! There are probably going to be a few spare names and I think most of us are planning on sharing our items so you are most welcome to join us! Some people may prefer to bring their own time to work on too. Carmela will be bringing brooch backs and pins etc. if you want to buy them from here.
Date: Sunday 17 June, 2012
Venue: Bayswater Family Centre cnr Murray and Crowther Streets, Bayswater WA
Time: 2pm - 4ish pm
Bring: Something to work on, brooch items if you want to make a name badge, a gold coin to help with venue hire costs

Help, please!
I finished the quilting on this one yesterday and have held up so many different fabrics against it, trying to work out what to use as binding but I am so undecided. I was going to use yellow but now I'm not so sure. I simply can't narrow it down at all!
Solid/pattern, neutral/bright, introduce new colour/stick with existing colour? Normally these things come to me quite easily during the whole making process so I am getting impatient at my lack of inspiration.
Please help! Any ideas welcome.
PS. The back is white.
